at the bus stop...

This series of images was photographed at two bus stop shelters colocated at the entrance of the Hanshiqiao shidi Nature Reserve, the site of a reservoir in Shunyi district to the east of Beijing.

Captured in the depths of winter with the reservoir frozen over, these images depict lonely rural bus shelters devoid of commuters or sightseers. The stark winter backgound is contrasted by the vibrant lanscapes depicted in the posters adorning the bus shelters, which portend the spring to come and offer the promise of a better tomorrow.
